C&D Company- There is nothing more indispensable to life on Earth than water. With 2.5 billion people around the world without access to safe drinking water, cadets from SUNY Maritime’s C&D company have stumbled upon an unconventional technique to help save water.
“Just pee on the floor” said cadet Ciaran Goodwin, originator of the idea. With the average human using around 4,088 gallons of water per year flushing toilets, analysts here at The Daily Screw estimate that the university has the potential to save upwards of 6.7 million gallons of water each year.
When asked for a comment, Loïc Fauchon, President of the World Water Council had this to say: “I am not sure how we hadn’t thought of this already. The idea is ingenious.”
In order to make sure cadets are doing their part to conserve water, the regiment has instated an around the clock “Potty Patrol” watch as to ensure that no toilets are used for urination.
